The interface provides three main sections for your workflow.
The Editor Pane This area accepts your text input. You can paste long articles or short snippets here. The editor supports standard text formats.
The Configuration Bar Use this area to adjust voice settings. You can switch between male and female tones and change the reading speed. If you need subtitles, check the "Generate Subtitles" box before you start the conversion.
The Output Monitor As the program creates audio, the monitor tracks the progress. If an error occurs, this area displays a message to help you fix the issue.
For the best results, use proofread text. Remove unnecessary punctuation or strange characters that might confuse the speech engine. If you want to emphasize a specific word or phrase, use standard grammatical structures like commas and periods to create natural pauses in the speech. Keep your paragraphs clear to help the engine understand sentence flow.
story2audio processes all data locally on your computer. It does not send your text to an external server. You do not need to register an account or provide personal information to use the tool. All generated files reside in the folders you designate on your own drive. This setup ensures that your work remains private and secure at all times.
By default, the application saves audio in an "Output" folder inside your Documents directory. You can change this behavior in the "Preferences" menu. If you prefer, point the application to a dedicated folder on your desktop to keep your audio files organized by project.
Check the download page periodically for new versions. When a new version releases, simply download the new installer and run it. The setup will detect your existing configuration and keep your settings intact while upgrading the core engine to the latest standards.
The software is provided for personal and professional use. Users may generate as much content as required without restrictions on commercial output. All generated audio belongs entirely to the user.
