Initialize git in your local folder git init
Create a new repo in github browser
Add this new repo url as a remote to your local repo git remote add origin https://github.com/mindalynworld/chef_mindalyn.git
(may need to reset the url so that the origin isn't svelte-project-template. check origin: git remove -v
reset: git remote set-url origin NEW_REPOSITORY_URL
)
git add, git commit, git push -u origin main
Install dependencies: npm install
Update repo name in svelte.config.js
Run development mode for the project npm run dev
Deployment
TODO: update svelte and svelte kit version, use resolve instead of base, add place to put global styles, include layout

Once you've created a project and installed dependencies with npm install
(or pnpm install

), start a development server:
npm run dev
# or start the server and open the app in a new browser tab
npm run dev -- --open
To create a production version of your app:
npm run build
You can preview the production build with npm run preview

To deploy your app, you may need to install an adapter for your target environment.
