plomp!

a convenient media downloader that can convert a url from thousands of sources to a high quality audio or video file

paste in a link into the url box or click the paste icon and choose an output file format then choose a folder to place the final file

by default, plomp! is configured to automatically open on system start but this can be toggled with the autostart button in the app

dependencies

• yt-dlp (required)
• ffmpeg (highly recommended)

installation

1. download from releases
2. run plomp!
3. open plomp! from the system tray

building from source

binaries are included for windows but can be built from source for mac and linux users

there are additional dependencies for building from source:

• npm
• rust 2021+

1. clone the repository
2. run npm install in the cloned repository
3. run npm run tauri build
4. run plomp.exe in following directory src-tauri/target/release
5. open plomp! from the system tray
