Random Song Game

Random Song Game app created to practice developing with Svelte and Tailwind, powered by create-svelte.

The Random Song Game was created by Jake Blank and Andrew Schnitkey in 2021. The idea is to each randomly select a song from our archives of old mp3s, then listen to each song and discuss. This app was developed by Andrew Schnitkey for two purposes. One, to practice developing an app using SvelteKit and Tailwind CSS. And Two, to make it easier to randomly select a song every day.

Outstanding Tasks

• Fix Issue in Cases When a Second Song is Fetched
• Maintain state when changing pages
• Improve error handling
• Optionally allow source data to be modified so errors can be fixed through the front end

Developing

Once you've created a project and installed dependencies with npm install (or pnpm install or yarn), start a development server:

npm run dev

# or start the server and open the app in a new browser tab
npm run dev -- --open

Building

To create a production version of your app:

npm run build

You can preview the production build with npm run preview.

To deploy your app, you may need to install an adapter for your target environment.
