Everything you need to build a Svelte project, powered by create-svelte
.
If you're seeing this, you've probably already done this step. Congrats!
# create a new project in the current directory
npm create svelte@latest
# create a new project in my-app
npm create svelte@latest my-app
Once you've created a project and installed dependencies with npm install
(or pnpm install
or yarn
), start a development server:
npm run dev
# or start the server and open the app in a new browser tab
npm run dev -- --open
To create a production version of your app:
npm run build
You can preview the production build with npm run preview
.
To deploy your app, you may need to install an adapter for your target environment.
Build docker image
docker build . -t sveltekit:alpine-multistage
Run docker image
docker run -dp 5050:5050 -e PORT=5050 -e ORIGIN=http://localhost:5050 --name sveltekit-app sveltekit:alpine-multistage
SvelteKit has Block cross-site form POSTs by default. So we need to expose the ORIGIN from the environment variable.
Run the image with docker compose:
docker compose up -d
